Eoin Glackin to Release New Single 'High King Falls' on 31st August

High King Falls is the brand new single from Dublin’s Eoin Glackin. An artist Ed Sheeran once described as “Smashing it”.

Part classic country and part rock opera, delivers a ballsy head on challenge of the societal structures we accept every day…“Who will guide us all / when our High King falls?” Glackin asks over pounding drums and a relentless guitar riff that shakes the listener from the heart to the toes.

Born and raised in Dublin, Eoin was a curious kid into music and sci-fi but being the youngest of 3 brothers he found himself following their lead.

“My brothers were big into sports, GAA and Rugby, so that’s where I tried to go.”

Eoin began suffering knee problems around the age of 14/15 which is when music began to receive more of his attention: “I was always into music and played a bit of piano as a kid, but that was the time I picked up a guitar and started writing. I wrote my first ‘proper song’ with the first two chords I knew. I was eager to do my own thing”.

Doing his own thing has led him to creating Fires of Innocence. Part classic country and part rock opera, it is an album steeped in the personal and the political. Look no further than new single “High King Falls” for a ballsy head on challenge of the societal structures we accept every day…

“Who will guide us all / when our High King falls?”

Glackin asks over pounding drums and a relentless guitar riff that shakes the listener from the heart to the toes.

Having spent the last few years touring and opening for acts such as Joan Armatrading, Damien Dempsey, Shovels & Rope, Dick Valentine (Electric Six) and The Darkness, Eoin’s reputation as an exciting live act continues to grow.

This, along with his lyrical song writing, drenched in poetic imagery and unique storytelling has garnered him praise from media and fellow musicians alike…
