Foemen Release New Single 'Magnetic Form', EP "Magnitisz" Out 20th July

Brendy Cann known as Foemen is a new wave/indie/synth pop artist from the Steel City of Newcastle, Australia. Magnetic Form is the lead single from upcoming EP release Magntisz.

“Maybe I’m too much of a romantic or people watcher, but I have a huge interest in the idea of people acting purely on their feelings no matter the cost. In theory it should probably be the way we live, it seems natural, at the same time this way of being can cause someone a lot of problems.” - Foemen

Magnetic Form evokes the indescribable feelings & attraction people have for each other. People become powerless to their feelings & forget how they end up where they are.

Magntisz was recorded and produced by Dave Hammer (who has worked with the likes of the Preatures, the Jezebels & Thundamentals) at his studio in Redfern Sydney late 2017 to early 2018. Brendy & Dave have an amazing connection with the sound they are after & have refined their previous work to sound that suits them perfectly.

With the help of Dave, Foemen first emerged on the Australian music scene in late 2016 with the release of his 10-track debut album Detritus City. Both the album and lead single Queen & Country were greatly influenced by the violent histories of the countries Foemen visited during an 18 month stint travelling throughout Europe & the UK.

“At times it’s channelling Passion Pit’s bouncy synthesiser work, at others echoing Arctic Monkeys’ bluesy guitar work and hypnotic, driving drums, and there’s even a nod to some Daft Punk vocoder in the bridge. There are so many styles and sounds in this three-and-a-half minute tune that your first impressions will be totally blown away by the end. But that won’t stop you toe-tapping the whole way through!" - AAA Backstage on Queen & Country.
