Mortimer Jackson Goes Solo With Debut ‘You’re Not The Freaks’ Out On 20 April 18

After Being Championed By BBC Radio 1, MTV and Soccer AM, Mortimer Jackson Goes Solo With Debut ‘You’re Not The Freaks’

Having toured with The Hold Steady, been championed by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and received spot plays on MTV and Soccer AM, Mortimer Jackson’s infectious vocals and melodies have been appreciated ever since he started music. Whilst achieving success leading other bands Mortimer Jackson has now begun his solo project, releasing debut single ‘You’re Not The Freaks’, April 20th.

It all began after Jackson got to the final of a BASCA supported songwriting competition, deciding to fully focus on a solo project. Taking influence from the classics such as Blur, Oasis and Joy Divison, yet keeping it modern with sounds similar to Wolf Alice, TOY and The Vaccines, Jackson’s sound appeals to the masses.

The North London singer-songwriter will be making his solo live debut at The Workshop, Hoxton, May 17th.
