Supergirl, iZombie, Lucifer, Good Girls & The Crossing Are Our Picks For What To Watch Tonight

Supergirl came back from hiatus with a massive bang last week in more ways than one. You can find out more about tonight's proceedings in our episode thread and look forward to watching at 8pm on The CW tonight.

SUPERGIRL
“In Search of Lost Time” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DV) (HDTV)

J’ONN HAS TO FACE THE TRUTH ABOUT HIS FATHER – When Myr’nn (guest star Carl Lumbly) inadvertently causes psychic disturbances at the DEO, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must work with J’onn (David Harewood) to contain the resulting chaos. Meanwhile, Mon-El (Chris Wood) begins training Kara in fighting techniques he’s learned in the future for battling Worldkillers. Andi Armaganian directed the episode with story by Eric Carrasco and teleplay by Katie Rose Rogers & Nicki Holcomb (#315). Original airdate 4/23/2018.

Following on from Supergirl is of course iZombie at 9pm which saw a pleasantly surprising ratings surge last week that I really hope continues. Given the cliffhanger that last weeks episode ended on, everyone's favourite lawyer Peyton has quite a few dilemma's on her head and whilst she's deliberating that, Liv is having fun as a role-playing knight which you can find out more about here.

MONDAY, APRIL 23

IZOMBIE

"Chivalry is Dead" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV)

THOU ART A STRAPING YOUNG MOORE - While investigating the murder of a live-action role-playing knight, Liv (Rose McIver) consumes his brain and becomes a walking, talking Renaissance Faire. Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) and Liv find dark secrets in the LARPer world. Meanwhile, Peyton (Aly Michalka) uncovers a truth about Liv. Lastly, Major (Robert Buckley) embarks on a mission. Rahul Kohli and Robert Knepper also star. Jason Bloom directed the episode written by Diane Ruggiero-Wright (#408). Original airdate 4/23/2018.

Away from the CW but keeping with the DC comic theme is Lucifer on Fox at 8pm. The episode has already aired in Canada, and been met with quite the outrage. Last weeks promo somewhat hinted at events to come, and those watching at US Pace are in for quite the episode.

LUCIFER AND CHLOE'S RELATIONSHIP COULD CHANGE FOREVER ON AN ALL-NEW "LUCIFER" MONDAY, APRIL 23, ON FOX

When a prima ballerina is brutally murdered, Lucifer helps Chloe solve the case and attempts to keep her focus away from Pierce. Amenadiel begs Charlotte to help him with an important plan, and Maze remains devoted to a task from which Pierce asked her to back away. Then, Chloe confronts Lucifer about his meddling in her life, but as he's about to make a huge confession, he finds out something that changes everything in the all-new "Anything Pierce Can Do I Can Do Better" episode of LUCIFER airing Monday, April 23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (L-317) (TV-14 L, S, V)

if comic book drama isn't your thing, then NBC has just the tonic for you in the shape of Good Girls at 10:01pm. You can read an excellent advance preview of the episode here, and a quick reminder that the first season finishes next week.

"GOOD GIRLS"
"SUMMER OF THE SHARK"

04/23/2018 (10:01PM - 11:00PM) (Monday) : Rio (Manny Montana) asks the women to complete a seemingly simple job so he can get the operation up and running, but Beth (Christina Hendricks), Ruby (Retta), and Annie (Mae Whitman) fear there may be more to the task than meets the eye. As the ladies’ long-simmering tensions with the gang leader boil over, Ruby learns that Sara (Lidya Jewett) has risen to the top of the transplant list.

And finally on ABC at 10pm you can watch the latest episode of The Crossing. Given how badly the show is doing ratings wise, it seems as though ABC's search for the new 'Lost' will probably continue into next season.

OMINOUS SITUATIONS CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES, ON ABC’S ‘THE CROSSING’

“The Face of Oblivion” – Desperate to rescue his son, Oliver, from a potentially lethal situation, Jude reaches out to Emma with a request that could endanger the lives of everyone at the camp. Meanwhile, Hannah’s secret past comes to light, Sophie discovers something unexpected in Leah’s blood work and Paul discloses a shocking piece of information about the earlier migration, on “The Crossing,” airing MONDAY, APRIL 23 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Across the pond in the UK there are unfortunately (as seems to be the norm) not a whole host of offerings outside the Soaps. On ITV at 7pm you can watch the first of this weeks Emmerdale installments where Ross is caught in the act by Rhona. Following at 7:30 is the first of this weeks Coronation Street, and indeed the first of the night as David shocks his family by moving Emma into the house, Alya has an extremely bad day at work as does Zeedan and we have a sneak peek from tonights episode below.
