The Originals Final Season Premiere, Criminal Minds Finale, Riverdale's Musical & Rana's Family Drama on Coronation Street Are Among Our Picks of What To Watch Tonight

Yes, the time has unfortunately finally arrived. It's been a long wait for fans of The Originals but tonights premiere at 9pm on The CW marks the beginning of the end. You can find more information in our episode thread but we do have a promo for you below.

THE ORIGINALS
“Where You Left Your Heart” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV)

THE BEGINNING OF THE END — Desperate to see her father Klaus (Joseph Morgan) after seven years, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) resorts to drastic measures to bring her father back to New Orleans. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) attempts to minimize the fallout from Hope’s actions, but not before news of what she’s done ripples through the city. Meanwhile, Freya’s (Riley Voelkel) guilt over not being able to reunite her family gets in the way of her happiness with Keelin (guest star Christina Moses), while Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) struggles with her inability to fully commit to Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). Finally, struggling without Elijah (Daniel Gillies) by his side, Klaus’ murderous rampage throughout Europe leads to an unexpected encounter with Caroline Forbes (guest star Candice King). Yusuf Gatewood and Steven Krueger also star. Lance Anderson directed the episode written by Marguerite MacIntyre (#501). Original airdate 4/18/2018.

Following that and returning from another small break is Riverdale with its musical episode. It was screened at PaleyFest a few weeks ago now and as a result, even more spoilers than usual have leaked out on some specific details of the episode. If those spoilers along with the others that have leaked regarding the end of the season, then Riverdale is truly going out with a bang. You can catch the musical episode at 8pm on The CW.

RIVERDALE
“Chapter Thirty-One: A Night to Remember”— (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

RIVERDALE HIGH PRESENTS “CARRIE THE MUSICAL” — As Riverdale High begins rehearsals for its upcoming production of “Carrie the Musical,” the arrival of an ominous letter forces director Kevin (Casey Cott) to make a difficult decision about the show. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) uses his cover as the musical’s documentarian to solve the mystery behind the letter. Meanwhile, tensions between Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) continue to escalate just as Alice (Madchen Amick) announces she is joining the musical to spend more time with Betty. Elsewhere, Hiram (Mark Consuelos) enacts a devious plan to further drive a wedge between Fred (Luke Perry) and Archie (KJ Apa), while Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) channels Carrie White during a showdown with her mother. Marisol Nichols, Ashleigh Murray and Skeet Ulrich also star. Jason Stone directed the episode written by Arabella Anderson & Tessa Leigh Williams (#218). Original airdate 4/18/2018.

Away from The CW and over on CBS at the slightly earlier time of 9pm is the Criminal Minds double episode season finale. The two episode are not linked, and have merely been grouped together as a result of scheduling (isn't that always the way it goes). The show has yet to officially be renewed for a 14th, but even renewals are no guarantee that all the cast will be intact if it does manage to get a 14th season, and the cast have been teasing a cliffhanger, so expect a nervy hiatus.

Over in the UK, well there's only one thing that really needs talking about. If you've read our review, then you'll know that Monday nights Coronation Street saw Rana and Kate's relationship outed to her parents in the worst way possible. Tonight from 7:30pm on ITV 1 Rana is taking centre stage again as her parents stoop to a whole new level of low in an attempt to end the relationship for good. Below you can find an extremely cute preview that is the definition of the calm before the storm.

Zeedan is furious that Alya has blown apart his and Rana's sham marriage, and Carla stuns Michelle with the news that Robert is taking steroids. When Nicola calls round, Eileen breaks down insisting she knew nothing about what Phelan was up to.

Yasmeen, Kate, Imran and Zeedan try to stop Rana boarding a flight to Pakistan. Furious at his lies, Michelle confronts Robert over the steroids. Meanwhile, Nicola tells Eileen she should back the campaign to free Anna, but she refuses.

Before that on ITV One you can watch Emmerdale at 7pm. In last nights episode Lisa made the shock decision to walk out on Zak, reaching her breaking point over his lack of support regarding Liv's court case and tonight the Dingles are dealing with the repercussions of Lisa leaving. Away from all that drama, Bob is making a discovery for himself as you can see in the sneak below.

Belle faces the fallout of Lisa's actions, Brenda's behaviour causes concern, and Jessie accepts an invitation.

For those watching at UK Pace, Legends of Tomorrow's 18th episode is on Sky One at 8pm, American Crime Story's 8th episode is on BBC Two at 9pm, The Goldbergs 17th episode is on E4 at 8pm, with The Big Bang Theory & Timeless to follow (19th and 3rd episode of the season respectively), Grey's Anatomy's 18th episode is on Sky Living at 9pm and The Runways begins its debut season at 9pm on Syfy.
