What To Watch Tonight

It is another jam packed night of TV, with Arrow & Supernatural returning from another short break whilst Siren finally gets its premiere on Freeform.

To start off with The CW and the aforementioned returns. Which considering it is The CW a 2 week break from airing is nothing (whoever thought taking The Flash off air for a month when it was just picking up steam again needs to re-evaluate their choices). The CW have now entered the territory of whether 'all publicity is good publicity' following the accidental leaking of next weeks episode promo last night.

Tonights episode of Arrow at 9pm sees the return of Katrina Law's fantastic (and massively underused) Nyssa Al-Ghul. She's back in Star City to deliver a message to Thea, and you don't need to be psychic to know this isn't going to end well.

ARROW
“The Thanatos Guild” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

NYSSA AL GHUL COMES BACK TO STAR CITY WITH A DANGEROUS MESSAGE FOR THEA — Nyssa Al Ghul (guest star Katrina Law) returns to Star City to warn Thea (Willa Holland) that a group of renegade League of Assassins members are planning to attack her. This group, led by Athena (guest star Kyra Zagorsky), is intent on finding a mysterious box that Malcolm left behind and will stop at nothing to get it. Nyssa helps Oliver (Stephen Amell) come to a life-changing realization. Joel Novoa directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Ben Sokolowski (#616). Original airdate 3/29/2018.

Leading into Arrow is of course the big Supernatural crossover at 8pm. For those who may not be aware, it's doing a special crossover episode with Scooby-Doo, appropiately titled 'Scoobynatural'. The episode had a special advance screening at the recent PaleyFest and has gone down an absolute storm with all in attendance. For a show like Supernatural that has been on screen an incredible 13 years (and shows no signs of ending anytime soon) to be able to keep things fresh this late in the game? It's quite incredible.

SUPERNATURAL
“Scoobynatural” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

JINKIES! “SUPERNATURAL” GETS ANIMATED WHEN SAM, DEAN AND CASTIEL ARE TRANSPORTED INTO THE WORLD OF SCOOBY DOO – Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are transported into the animated world of Scooby Doo where
they join forces with the Scooby gang to solve a ghostly mystery. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Jim Krieg & Jeremy Adams (#1316). Original airdate 3/29/2018.

Over on NBC and at 9pm is Will and Grace. The revival has been such a hit with fans and critics that it has been renewed for an 11th season, before the 10th season has even started. Having recently had a chance to watch tonights episode, I can tell you it is absolutely fabulous. It veers more into the heartwarming than head splitting with laughter side of things and I cannot wait to dig my heels into the finale.

"WILL & GRACE"
"ONE JOB"

03/29/2018 (09:00PM - 09:30PM) (Thursday) : Grace (Debra Messing) brings Will (Eric McCormack) for support when she goes home to celebrate her deceased mother's birthday. Jack's (Sean Hayes) faith in love is crushed after breaking up with Drew (guest star Ryan Pinkston) and uncovering a secret in Karen's (Megan Mullally) marriage. Alec Baldwin, Robert Klein, Mary McCormack and Sara Rue guest star.

Over on Freeform, tonight is the night that Siren finally premieres and with a double episode premiere at that. It's hard to really gauge from the trailer and all the promos that have been released for the show just what exactly it is about, and even harder to gauge whether this show will survive past its debut season.

March 29 (8:00 – 9:01 p.m. EDT) – Episode 1001 – “Pilot”

The coastal town of Bristol Cove, once known for being home to mermaids, is turned upside down with the arrival of a mysterious girl.

March 29 (9:01 – 10:02 p.m. EDT) – Episode 1002 – “The Lure”
Ben and crew of The North Star uncover a device emitting a strange sound. Meanwhile, Ryn finds shelter in the home of the local folklore expert.

Over on Fox is the latest episode of Gotham's spectacular 4th season. Fans will be hoping that come May, Gotham beats the odds and is able to deliver a 5th season. The promotion and artistic direction for the show is like nothing else on Network TV, and after last weeks shocker, it'll be extremely interesting to see how this weeks episode picks up. As noted in the press release below, tonights episode is even more special due to star Ben McKenzie stepping into the directors chair.

ALL ABOARD ON AN ALL-NEW "GOTHAM" THURSDAY, MARCH 29, ON FOX

GOTHAM Star Ben McKenzie Directs

Arkham's "finest" give Gordon and Bullock a run for their money, as they hatch a plan to escape the asylum. Meanwhile, Bruce devises his own strategy to thwart their plans. Also, Barbara gets an offer she can't refuse in the all-new "A Dark Knight: One Of My Three Soups" episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, March 29 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-416) (TV-14 L, V)

And over on ABC is Grey's Anatomy at 8pm. The show has dealt with a bit of bad publicity recently, in the aftermath of Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw announcing their exits at the end of the 14th season, but still continues to be an absolute monster ratings wise. Tonights episode sees Kim Raver return as Teddy Altman and was directed by series regular Kevin McKidd

APRIL'S CRISIS OF FAITH COMES TO A HEAD, ON ABC'S 'GREY'S ANATOMY'

Guest Starring Kim Raver

"One Day Like This" - April's crisis of faith is challenged by a patient she treats who is a rabbi, and Meredith treats a patient who is a transplant surgeon from another hospital, on "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, MARCH 29 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Across the pond and in the UK, and following on from last nights special it is the ladies turn on The Real Full Monty: Ladies Night at 9pm and we have a sneak peek of rehearsals below.

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan takes the lead, with Ashley Banjo back as coach, as they produce and perform a one-off striptease in Sheffield to raise awareness of breast cancer. Those taking part are journalist Victoria Derbyshire, Emmerdale's Sally Dexter, reality TV star Megan McKenna, singer Michelle Heaton, comedian Helen Lederer, actress Ruth Madoc and DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford.

On Channel 4 at 9pm is the first episode of documentary series Indian Summer School, which you may have seen advertised.

Documentary following five working-class British boys who, having failed their core GCSEs, prepare to re-sit their exams at an Indian boarding school. The world-famous Doon School has an exam pass rate of 100 per cent and British head teacher Matthew Raggett believes he can transform the boys' prospects in just six months - but they will have to knuckle down. Jack and Alfie adapt best to the new way of life, Harry slips into old habits by prioritising popularity over his studies, while Jake and Ethan struggle to adjust to the new regime.

And to finish up we have Idris Elba's new show, which he also created, called In The Long Run. It's a comedy, looks absolutely hilarious and if weekly watches aren't your thing (who really has the time these days) all the episodes are available online.

Walter's brother Valentine is about to turn his family's quiet life upside down. Comedy about a family living in a tower blocks in 1980s London, starring Idris Elba, Madeline Appiah, Jimmy Akingbola and Bill Bailey.
