What To Watch Tonight

It's a jam-packed night of TV this Wednesday with quality shows across the board both in the US and the UK.

Starting off in the US and at 10pm on FX is the premiere of The Americans 6th and final season. If early reviews are anything to go by, it promises to bow out mightily and reassert itself as one of the best shows TV has EVER produced.

Dead Hand
3/28/2018

In the season 6 premiere of The Americans it’s autumn, 1987, and as a major arms control summit looms, Elizabeth is pushed to her limits as never before. Philip, meanwhile, has settled into running the newly expanded travel agency – until an unexpected visitor makes a disquieting request. Written by Joel Fields & Joe Weisberg; Directed by Chris Long.

Another show returning tonight is Suits. Whilst it has already been renewed for an 8th season, this final set of episodes (it took a mid-season break) of the 7th season does serve as a swan song for Patrick Adams and Meghan Markle. You can catch the beginning of the end for them at 9pm on USA Network

Episode 7.11 - Hard Truths

Harvey and Louis fight to protect the future of the firm from its past; Alex worries Mike's instincts could risk a client relationship; Donna and Harvey delve into the aftermath of their kiss.

On Network TV, ABC's 'comedy Wednesday's' kick off with the fantastic The Goldbergs at 8pm.

BARRY ATTEMPTS TO BREAK UP BEVERLY AND HER FRIENDS RESULTING IN A TURF WAR OVER THE BACKYARD, WHILE ADAM TRIES TO CONNECT WITH MURRAY OVER THEATER, ON ABC’S ‘THE GOLDBERGS’

“Colors” – Barry enlists the JTP to help him break up Beverly’s group of friends so Barry can have all the attention but soon realizes he made a major mistake when Beverly gets into a fight with her friends. Meanwhile, Adam’s attempts to trick Murray into loving theater backfire, on “The Goldbergs,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28 (8:00–8:30 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Also at 8pm and over on The CW is the 17th episode of Riverdale's second season. The show has been struggling a little bit in its second season for direction, which has reflected in its ratings, but here's to hoping as it slowly eases towards its finale it refinds its footing and picks up steam again.

RIVERDALE
“Chapter Thirty: The Noose Tightens”— (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

UNWELCOMED GUESTS — Just as the town’s mayoral race gets underway, Riverdale High’s own student council election heats up. Archie (KJ Apa) steps up to help after learning that Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) mobster associates have come to Riverdale to stir up some trouble. Meanwhile, things take a dangerous turn for Alice (Madchen Amick), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Chic (guest star Hart Denton) when an unexpected guest shows up at the Cooper residence. Finally, Toni (guest star Vanessa Morgan), Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Josie (Ashleigh Murray) team up to solve a strange mystery involving Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch). Cole Sprouse, Marisol Nichols, Luke Perry, Skeet Ulrich and Casey Cott also star.

If crime dramas are more of your thing then CBS has you covered, with the 18th episode of Criminal Minds 13th season at 10pm. With Gail O'Grady guest starring as another of Rossi's ex-wife's, it should be a cracker of an episode.

Gail O’Grady Guest Stars as Rossi’s Ex-wife, Krystall Richards

Over on Syfy at 10pm, you can catch the second episode of their Superman prequel, Krypton. Early reviews of the show have been mixed, with questions raised over the acting and CGI, so hopefully 'House of El' will see a massive improvement in quality.

After suffering a tragedy, Seg must adjust to a new life, a new rank and a new threat.

Across the pond and on ITV at 9pm is The Real Full Monty: Live.

A special live performance from Sheffield led by Ashley Banjo and Alexander Armstrong, alongside a host of other famous names, to raise awareness of men's cancers. This time the new cast of male celebrities, including Jeff Brazier, Tom Parker, James Argent and Ainsley Harriott, share their own personal stories and shed their clothing to inspire more men to make vital checks that could save lives.
