This Weeks New Releases

In decades to come, when civilization has all but been destroyed and the last remnants of humanity are looking back through history for some remnant of hope to reassure them everything is gonna be OK, Friday 30th March 2018 will be there first port of call. There are so many quality releases across the board for us to sink our teeth into this week and I am extremely thankful.

Starting off with the singles (spoiler alert! this is a long list) Her new album may be dropping next Friday (and look forward to me probably repeating the above then) but Kylie Minogue isn't the Queen of Pop for nothing. She's released Raining Glitter and it's superb. Zak Abel has also released a superb track in Love Song, which you'll be able to read our in depth thoughts on in New Music Friday coming later today. has also heard my pleads of a new single which ISN'T a collaboration and released Nostalgia, which you'll again be able to read about in New Music Friday. Thirty Seconds to Mars have released Rescue Me. DJDS, Khalid, Charlie Wilson & Charlotte Day Wilson have teamed up on No Pain.

On the album's front, one of CONTROLRadioUK's very own Artists Blake have released their 10th Anniversary Album. Hayley Kiyoko's debut studio album Expecations has also finally arrived and I cannot wait to sink my teeth into it along with The Vaccines Combat Sports. Kacey Musgraves has also released Golden Hour whilst Kate Nash is back with Yesterday Was Forever.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi is now out on DVD. It's joined by Mr. Robot Season 3, The first season of the excellent Legion (and just in time for a quick catch-up before season 2 airs on FX, The Americans 5th season, Last Man In Aleppo and An Act of Violence. And finally at the movies this week you can see Stephen Spielberg's Ready Player One, Isle of Dogs starring Bryan Cranston, Greta Gerwig and Oscar winner Frances McDormand, Bella Thorne's Midnight Sun, JK Simmons led The Bachelors, Journey Man starring Jodie Whittaker who will soon be taking up the Dr Who mantel, Duck Duck Goose starring Zendaya, Cake, Blockers and Between land and Sea.

And how can I not mention A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 2 dropping on Netflix?! Or gently encourage you to watch On My Block, their latest coming of age comedy that admittedly dropped 2 weeks ago but is absolutely fabulous.

Told you it was a great week!
