Chvrches + Wednesday Campanella, The Aces, Bad Sounds ft Ardyn & Black Honey Are Our New Music Friday Picks

Here at CONTROLRadioUK we're always on the look-out for the freshest tracks, be it for playlisting or you dear readers and in #NewMusicFriday we're bringing you some of the best tracks of the week!

So this was a nice surprise! They've only recently dropped their latest album but Chvrches are already serving us new music in the shape of this collab 'Out Of My Head' with Wednesday Campanella, who a quick search informs me are a Japanese group. The video is certainly paying tribute to Japanese anime and the song features Chvrches signature synth pop sound over popilicious lyrics!

OK so technically this isn't new for this week as it was released last week, but who needs rules when you could be battling an addiction to gummy bears?! The Aces are a fabulous band who never fail to disappoint with their music (the new album was released earlier this year and is completely flaw free) and I once again love an Artist doing a different take on the whole break-up song genre. Sure songs emphasizing with us on heartbreak and despair are nice enough to accompany the ice cream, but songs that are completely over the break-up and proclaiming they're never talking about it again? They're ever better! 'Last One' is very much tongue in cheek in its nature and the video follows this line, whilst letting us in on how difficult it is to get over a gummy bear addiction. What more could you ask for?!

This song is a BOP! I really don't know what else there is to say about it. Delicious beats, a non-predictable feel to it, a beat break that is unlike anything else I've heard in quite a while, 'Milk It' has it all. It's 70's groove at its absolute best, and this song is destined to feature on a TV show at some point. Bad Sounds have a debut album along the way as well. It's called 'Get Better', it's out on 17th August, you can pre-order it here and 'Milk It' definitely wets the appetite enough to explore their discography.

We're finishing off this week with this stonker from Black Honey. They're a four piece Indie rock band from Brighton, another band with a debut album on the way, and another band who most definitely deserve to blow up. 'Midnight' is everything you could ever want from a Pop/Rock song, and is accompanied by an infectious chorus that will get stuck in your head. Their aforementioned debut album is self titled and due out on the 21st September. You don't need to ask if you should be pre-ordering.
