Runrummer New Debut Single 'Good For Nothing' Out 24th August 2018 From Her Debut EP "Soul Wrinkles" Out 9th November 2018

RUNRUMMER TO DROP DEBUT VIDEO FOR SINGLE 'GOOD FOR NOTHING’

New UK electropop artist Runrummer has announced her arrival with Good For Nothing, her debut single and video.

The East London singer, songwriter and producer drops the innovative, hook-laden and deceptively dark track today as a taster of her upcoming debut EP, Soul Wrinkles (set for release on 9th November).

It was co-produced with Rob Daniels at the Cafe Music Studio (Jon Hopkins, Brian Eno, Imogen Heap) and is on streaming platforms now.

“Good For Nothing is about my struggles with depression and anxiety, and the way those things can change you as a person,” explains Runrummer, AKA Livi Morris. “It can sometimes feel like you have two identities or personalities - the lyrics use the idea of me calling out the darker side of myself, with chorus being this descent into a kind of blissful madness. Despite the sombre meaning of the song, there’s a contrast musically as it’s very upbeat and tropical.”

Runrummer is originally from Bromsgrove and takes her moniker from the famous Rum Runner Club that helped launch Brummie bands Duran Duran and Dexys Midnight Runners in the 70s and 80s. A veteran of the music industry by her teens, she spent time writing and collaborating with The Chainsmokers and Showtek before embarking on her own solo musical journey.

Like many of the new crop of young British pop, she pulls influences from 80s electro bands alongside contemporary sounds from Flume, Tame Impala and King Princess
and frankly explores complex subjects like gender identity, mental health and sexuality in her lyrics.
