The beautiful emotive ballad ‘Jealous of the Angels’ by Irish songstress, Donna Taggart, has already had 150 million views across social media platforms, has reached No. 1 on iTunes and No. 1 on the US Billboard Charts.

Donna Taggart is an Irish singer/songwriter, who has had a meteoric rise to international fame and is now one of Irelands most prolific international stars. With Number One records in 8 different countries including the United States and with 150 million streams of just one of her songs, Ireland’s songstress Donna Taggart is set to take the World by storm.

As Donna hits the UK with a nationwide tour (see dates below) she will also release a double A side single which features her smash hit internet sensation ‘Jealous of Angles’, which went viral on social media and catapulted Donna to worldwide international stardom. In just one week the song reached 25 million hits online propelling her to No. 42 in the US iTunes charts, No 1 in the iTunes Easy listening charts in 8 different countries and No. 1 in the US Billboard World Album Catalogue for 3 weeks. The song presently stands at 150 million hits right across social media platforms, a phenomenal achievement for the songstress who has no record label, is not signed and who worked two jobs to fund her own albums, all whilst raising her young family in Ireland.

‘Jealous Of The Angels’ is the perfect introduction for Donna to the UK Market and showcases her hauntingly beautiful vocals and sensitive interpretation of the song. Completing the double A side is ‘Guiding Light’, which was written by Northern Irish singer songwriter Foy Vance and featured Ed Sheehan on the original release.

Donna hails from Omagh Co. Tyrone and is best known for singing emotional ballads. Her distinctively sensitive yet powerful voice immediately captures the hearts of those who hear her.

Her first album Celtic Lady was immediately picked up by highly respected BBC Radio presenter Gerry Anderson. Gerry described Donna as a ‘very special singer’ and predicted a big future for the Tyrone songstress and he wasn’t wrong.

Donna’s success of late has seen her in huge demand selling out tours in Ireland and the UK and has established her as one of Ireland’s Top Live Female Performers. Donna who has just returned from a trip in the USA touring with legendary Irish singer/ songwriter Phil Coulter is getting ready for another huge year which sees her embarking on another sold out Irish and UK Tour as well as writing and recording her third album in both London and Nashville.
