A Winter Project is a collaboration of a family of musicians from Bedford, UK and USA.
Richard Winter and Tommy Priakos were prolific song writers back in the 1990’s and Tommy returned home to the States and the partnership had a break.
Tommy came over recently for a reunion and this song was born.
Richard’s son Michael and daughter Katie inherited their dad's talents and have put their fresh unique flavour of rap with modern vocals with old Rock n’ Roll band behind them, making an exciting retro sound.
It's really a family project with Tim Winter playing drums ; Chris Winter helping with all the technical stuff and some local legendary guitarist’s Pete Bonas – adding some dirty rock guitar and Max Milligan adding the clean riff, which drives the song “Beautiful Thing”.
The song was written at Richard's home after a late night drinking some Jack Daniel's and inspired by the Run DMC song “Walk this Way”.
“It’s a beautiful thing writing songs again and recording at “The Lost Boys studio in Cranfield”.
The distorted guitars and 80’s synth make you want to rock out!!
