Filed under completely NOT awesome news? TVLine is reporting that Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West will not be returning in season 4 of Legends of Tomorrow as a regular.
There was quite a bit of pleasant surprise when it was first announced he would be joining the shows back half of the 3rd season, as he'd previously only featured on The Flash as our favourite speedster. At the time it was claimed the decision to move shows was a purely creative decision that both parties were happy with, as Legends of Tomorrow allowed Wally's story to move forward.
That has now unfortunately changed. Not particularly surprising news given eagle-eyed fans noticed he was missing from Upfronts cover art and the press release. With Matt Ryan and Jes Macallan already on board season 4 as regulars and quite a small number of cast departures by Legends standards in season 3, there was a risk of the wave-ride getting quite crowded.
Fortunately though Wally's journey is not at a complete end just yet. He will be returning to The Flash in its season 5 premiere.
