KRSTN NEW SINGLE 'Second Chance' Out Now

KRSTN is a pop and RnB musician from Melbourne, Australia. She is heavily influenced by classical piano, which she has been playing since a young age, but has always considered piano and singing to be equal. She started writing songs at age 14 and more recently has moved into the RnB genre, incorporating raps into her song-writing. Second Chance is KRSTN’s latest single.

Second Chance has the influence of early ‘00s RnB with its fun beat and repetitive fast melodies (especially in the verses), but when it comes to the chorus there is something strikingly emotional about it, which gives another layer to the story the song is trying to convey. The rap elevates the meaning even further, taking the song to a deeper and perhaps more honest level. The contrasting sections of this song mirror the conflicting thoughts of the artist and the weighing up of pros and cons.

“Second Chance is a song I wrote about conflicting thoughts – despite knowing someone has done you wrong and the reasons for that are clear, you’re still willing to work it out and give them a second chance. I think everyone has felt this about someone at some point, whether romantically or otherwise.” - KRSTN

Second Chance was written by KRSTN, recorded at Spectrum Sound in Melbourne, Australia and produced by Jeremy Drakeford.

KRSTN’s musical journey began at the age of 6, when she took up the piano for the first time. She is now classically trained and holds a Bachelor of Music in classical piano performance. She discovered at the age of 14 that singing and accompanying herself on piano was an incredible emotional outlet, and this was something she wanted to share with the world and do for a very long time. More recently she has moved into the RnB realm, incorporating raps into her lyrics, but still with the same classical influence and pop melodies.

Every song that she writes has meaning and always ties back to a personal experience, and KRSTN aims for this to connect with people and to let them know they aren’t alone, and that there are others (including herself) experiencing the same emotions as they are. In the future, KRSTN hopes to record and release a concept album to do just that.

Miranda Writes New Single 'Time To Time' (3 Aug 2018)

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 2, 2018 -- There is no denying that the world is in dire need of greater togetherness, love, and a lot more fun. For Hip Hop artist Miranda Writes, being able to inspire her listeners through her upbeat, playful tracks is what making music is all about.

“Time to Time is about the freedom and peace I find when I’m creating music. Music is my refuge and there’s nothing in this world that makes my soul feel better than the vibes I feel when I’m writing or on the mic.”

Beginning first with poetry at 16, Miranda transitioned to songwriting just one year later, when she discovered her uncanny ability to flip her verses over beats.
Music is not Miranda’s only strength or creative outlet. On top of a fast-growing career, Miranda Writes is also a college student with a 3.9 GPA, as well as a talented snowboarder. It’s obvious Miranda brings her strong work ethic and upbeat vibes wherever she goes.

“What's most compelling about her sound is her ability to seamlessly fuse myriad influences, ranging from 90's rap to today's best dance music into her sound, thus making it accessible, as well as artful,” commented music critic, novelist and Huffpost contributor Randy Radic.

Miranda Writes is currently in collaboration with producer Cool Typhoon, whose beats have appeared on E’s The Platinum Life and Oxygen’s The Bad Girls Club. Together, they will release Miranda’s next project, “In My Head.”

Miranda Writes debuts “Time to Time” August 3rd, 2018 alongside a music video. “Time to Time” can be downloaded here.

About Miranda Writes: New York City-based artist Miranda Writes creates lyrically-focused hip-hop with an eclectic sound that crosses genres and decades. Inspired by the 90' hip-hop and contemporary music, Miranda has a modern yet back-to-the basic sound powered by her original lyrics. In January of 2018, Miranda Writes’ 2017 album Know Your Worth was awarded the 2018 Rap Album of the Year, by the Warlock Asylum for its uplifting message told through her compelling rhymes.

When not on the mic during the winter Miranda loves to snowboard, which opened new commercial markets for her besides music such as fashion, snowboarding, and fitness. Her goal is to ultimately make a positive impact on the music industry and her fans.

Zayn Releases Collab With Timbaland 'Too Much'

Zayn has officially dropped his latest single! It's called 'Too Much' and is a collab with Timbaland, who you may remember as producing many of the finest tunes the noughties could give us.

The song very much wreaks of Timbaland in the absolute best way and Zayn's vocals silk over the song so effortlessly. This release comes hot on the heels of 'Sour Diesel' which was released 2 weeks ago, and whilst there is still no official word on Zayn's highly anticipated second album, it surely can't be far away.

You can press play on the track above and let us know your thoughts!

Smoke Season Release Music Video For New Single 'Sweetest Thing'

SMOKE SEASON RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR SUMMER SINGLE SWEETEST THING

SMOKE SEASON Sweetest Thing (Single)| RELEASE DATE - 2nd August

Sexy, modern indie-pop at its best - THE LINE OF BEST FIT
A deeply visual sense & cinematic flavour to their songwriting - CLASH
Quintessential summer jams - THE 405
The up & coming band you wish you were in - PANCAKES & WHISKEY

FOR FANS OF Christine & The Queens| The XX| Lorde|Lana Del Rey

LA buzz-duo Smoke Season are back with a new video for their new single Sweetest Thing today.

The slinky indie-pop anthem combines an earworm chorus with pulsating synths, summer-jam guitars and a fluid, subversive approach to gender roles and expectations.

“We believe that fluidity is the future. As people who embrace blurred lines between masculinity/femininity, sexual orientation and monogamy, we wanted the Sweetest Thing music video to be an exploration into all types of sexual fluidity” explains Gabby Bianco, half of Smoke Season. “The video uses dance as a metaphor to reject traditional binaries and allow us to literally slide between hetero-normative and same-sex pairings while simultaneously challenging dated notions of masculinity and monogamy.”

Smoke Season have picked up acclaim from Clash Magazine, The New York Times, Buzzfeed, Billboard and The Line Of Best Fit, amassed millions of streams online and performed at SXSW.

Keen visual artists and experimentalists as well as musical mad scientists, the band (Gabby Bianco and Jason Rosen) teamed up with fellow LA pop duo HOLYCHILD to create the Sweetest Thing concept and brought in dancers Charles Han and Candice Fox to create a smoky, sweaty visual extravaganza. HOLYCHILD lead singer Liz Nistico directed, edited and choreographed the video.

Chasing Dragons New Single 'Like Gravity' Out Now

Chasing Dragons Unveil Music Video For "Like Gravity"

Video for first single from upcoming album Faction is available now

First full length release from Yorkshire quartet will land on October 5th

The wait is over - it is time for some new music from Chasing Dragons! Following last weeks' announcement that the Yorkshire four piece will release their eagerly awaited debut full length album Faction in October, Chasing Dragons can now give everyone the first taste of what is to come on the album.

The first single from Faction is the infectious Like Gravity. From it's instant earworm of a main riff through to its haunting outro, Like Gravity is a song that makes an impression on the listener the first time they hear it and will have them hitting the repeat button over and over. Listen for yourselves by checking out the video below:

As previously mentioned, Chasing Dragons will release their very first full length album, Faction, on the 5th of October. This follows an enormously successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year where the Hunters (as the Chasing Dragons fans are known) from across the UK and beyond helped the band to reach over 200% of their original target. Faction will be the first new music to surface from Chasing Dragons since their 2016 EP Faction:Prologue. Pre-orders for Faction are now available at the following link - Pre-order Faction Now!

The band are absolutely delighted to finally be able to spread the word of their new album. Here's frontwoman Tank's thoughts about the upcoming release:

"We can barely contain our excitement for this next chapter of our band! ‘Faction’ is finally here.. after three years in the making and a lot of hard work, we’re finally ready to share it with the world and we can’t wait.”
Since the release of their previous EP, Chasing Dragons have been heavily active in the UK live music scene, playing shows and tours with the likes of Stone Broken, The Qemists, Skid Row, SikTh, InMe, Diamond Head, Aaron Buchanan and The Cult Classics, Courage My Love, Skarlett Riot, Theia and lots more. They've also hit the stage at a number of festivals including Bloodstock, Hard Rock Hell and several of their spinoff festivals like HRH Sleaze and HRH AOR, SOS, Rockmantic and most recently Amplified Festival.

The release of Faction will see Chasing Dragons once again hit the road for a full tour, details of which will be announced very soon. The world of Chasing Dragons is going to be an enormously exciting place to be in the next few months, and this is one band you will not want to take your eyes and ears off. Big things are coming, just watch this space.
