Suzanne Santo to Embark On First UK/European Solo Shows Supporting Hozier This Autumn

The singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Suzanne Santo known as one half of acclaimed Americana duo HONEYHONEY, steps out on her own for her first ever UK/European solo shows this Autumn supporting Hozier. Santo, who released her debut solo album Ruby Red last year, will in fact play a double set at each of the 15 shows, appearing as she does as a featured musician (guitar / vocals) in Hozier’s band.

Here are the remaining dates on the tour:

Wed 28th Nov Copenhagen, Vega
Fri 30th Hamburg, Mehr Theatre

Mon 3rd DEC Cologne, Palladium
Tue 4th Utrecht, Tivoli Vrendenburg
Thu 6th Manchester, Apollo
Fri 7th Glasgow, Academy
Sun 9th Birmingham, Academy
Tue 11th London, Eventim Apollo
Wed 12th London, Eventim Apollo

Produced by multi-platinum Grammy nominee Butch Walker during sessions in his Southern California studio, Santo’s Ruby Red is caught halfway between the dark swoon of pop-noir, the raw rasp of soul music and the honest punch of Americana. It’s an album about love, life and lust in the modern world. A moody, fierce, melody-driven 11 songs ranging from gothic anthems to slow-burning soul ballads to explosive rockers, all are anchored around Santo’s voice: an electrifying, elastic instrument capable of both vulnerability and ferocity.

Ruby Red has been embraced by the likes of Rolling Stone, Paste Magazine, KCRW, LA Weekly and American Songwriter, amongst others.
