Verity White NEW SINGLE 'Fade Away' Out 5th October 2018

The single is a classic rock-ballad in structure and feel, this song uses Verity’s usual blend of rock riffs with synth highlights and is carried by her inspiring, true message and powerfully moving vocals.Verity’s live reputation is blossoming and her CV includes a headline appearance at the prestigious Pizza Express show in London.

“There’s no getting around it, Fade Away is a song about loss. In January 2018 Verity lost one of her best friends to cancer, it was sudden and painful, but out of that experience she’s hoping to connect with anyone who’s felt that great unknown when you lose someone you love. “I think the emotion and words in this song will speak to anyone who has been what I was when we lost Ian at the start of the year” she says, “there are so many questions you’re left with and such a sense of emptiness, I hope this reaches those who need it and they feel less alone.”

Verity and her band have been impressing gig-goers at festivals (Lechlade, FeckFest, Frogfest) and live music venues (The Troubadour, Mr Wolfs, The Islington, Notting Hill Arts Club) and they’re now planning their second U.K. tour in Spring 2019, to accompany a new album The debut album, Breaking Out, was successfully fully-funded on Kickstarter and came out in Winter 2017.

This was preceded by two EPs (Parentheses in 2016 and Stripped Bare in 2017, and a double a-side single Too Much / Look Inside, 2017.) Own Me, the first single from the new album is out now, with a second due at the start of September 2018. Having spent a few years touring the world as a backing vocalist with the prog-rock group Pendragon, and even supporting them on their 2017 European tour, Verity has plenty of stage presence and experience, and the live shows with her full band continue to grab audiences attention.

Verity writes with her husband, producer and guitarist Alex White and is joined by Joe Kelly and Alex McIntosh on stage. Verity is well engaged in the music scene in the U.K. and uses her strong social media presence to actively support mental health awareness, the arts and female empowerment.
