This song is just gold, and don't be surprised if you see it ruling the CONTROLRadioUK Charts very soon. It's accompanied by a very cool video, but really I'm in love with this song. The chorus is just excellent with the way it incorporates 4 different musical genres. Lyrically this song might apply the standard rhyming couplet in places, but the way Mara Duke mixes it up with the music makes it sound unique.
I can't resist a ballad, especially when it's this soft and good. What a lot of people don't realize is you don't need power vocals that knock out the windows for a ballad to be powerful. Sometimes you just need a simple video that lets the song speak for itself, and heartfelt lyrics.
Not to be confused with The Chainsmokers 'Closer' (I still can't understand that songs popularity), this is a nice number from Hash. He's got a really great voice and is able to emote the message of the song well in the middle. The song is a nice mix of acoustic RNB which I am always here for, with some good lyrics, and has a beat that will probably end up stuck in your head (or is that just me).
