Ashley Sherlock Release New Single and EP

ASHLEY SHERLOCK RELEASES ANTHEMIC NEW ‘BROKEN’ SINGLE AND NEW EP

Manchester blues rockers Ashley Sherlock are back with a slow-burning new single and a new self-titled EP release. Broken offers up melancholy guitars and gritty, rootsy vocals alongside a powerful and polished chorus that’s influenced by current Nashville country-rock. The Ashley Sherlock EP is out now on all streaming platforms.

“The song was written about feeling low and the impact it has on others around you” explains frontman, vocalist and guitarist Ashley Sherlock. “It’s about the idea of feeling a certain way, but being afraid to tell those closest to you about it for fear of hurting them and exposing that vulnerability.”

Ashley Sherlock is a Manchester-based singer/songwriter citing his biggest inspirations as Jeff Buckley, The Cadillac Three, Radiohead and Chris Stapleton. His original material has been recognized internationally, with the signing of his management contract with Beanix Entertainment in the USA.

After several years and hundreds of gigs performing as a solo artist, Ashley has now formed a blues rock trio and has been working on an album of new material. Working alongside producer Kenneth Nixon (of Framing Hanley fame) Ashley’s newly-released EP represents a modern take on the blues and country sounds of the Deep South combined with his distinctive vocal range and songwriting style.
