It's a storyline that has been building for weeks and leading up to this moment, but finally over Christmas Gina's lies are exposed but not before Tim makes a massive mistake.
Having drowned his sorrows the previous week, Tim finds himself on Christmas Eve fearing that he's done something dreadful. He's left unsure what to do after receiving a visiting order from Sally, but is pushed into visiting her by Eileen.
As he sets off to prison to see him wife, Faye reveals she saw him and Gina in bed together! It's then Gina's turn to be left stunned as Tim reveals his disgust at having had sex with his wife's sister.
He's not the only one having a bad time though, as Marcia roughly grabs Sally for sticking up for Abi. Whilst Abi does manage to send Marcia packing, she issues a warning to Sally that Abi won't always be there to protect her.
It's fair to say Tim is very much has a nightmare before Christmas, and Sally is left gutted when he fails to visit her. On two ends of the spectrum, Faye is unbothered by Tim and Gina's situation, but Sophie is furious and Gina listens in as a devastated Tim informs Faye that he does intend to visit Sally and confussed the truth but doubts his marriage will survive the revelation.

On Christmas Day, Tim does indeed visit Sally and drop the bomb that he slept with Gina. As if that wasn't enough drama, Sophie meets up with Duncan and is left shocked when he confirms that Gina is in love with Tim.
The stage is then set for an explosive Christmas dinner and as Tim, Gina, Yasmeen and Geoff tuck in, Sophie breaks the news that Gina has been secretly meeting up with Duncan and Gina then admits she's in love with Tim!
Come Boxing Day, Sophie and Tim have a meeting with Paula, and she explains the only way Sally will be released is if they get a confession from Duncan.
Later Sally explains to Tim and Sophie that Abi will be released the next week and she fears for her safety without Abi's protection. Tim sets off to find Duncan, determined to force a confession out of him, whilst Imran is horrified to discover Gina rifling through his papers.
Taking matters into her own hands Gina begs Imran to help her nail Duncan by giving her his address, and Imran reluctantly hands it over. However Gina isn't done with Imran just yet as she reveals she needs one more favour from him, and warns if he doesn't play ball she'll report him to the Law Society. Imran is left unable to believe her brass neck.
He's not the only one.
